After 20 plus years of custom painting every kind of
competition vehicle there is, being part owner of a Fuel
Funny Car, then a Top Fuel Dragster, Glenn got tired of the
cold weather of the northeast and closed his shop to
relocate to a much warmer Vero Beach, Florida.
Glenn then
decided to pursue his real dream and that was to own and
drive a Drag Car. As it would be, one of the last vehicles
Glenn helped to build and paint was one of his best customers and
friends, Al and Ellen Hanna and their first
Eastern
Raider Jet Funny Car.
That cinched it, Glenn's mind was made
up, it was going to be a Jet Funny Car. So in the fall of
2003 Glenn purchased the well know and proven Phantom Jet
from
Mario Carranca. Its been 3 long years getting both the
IHRA and
NHRA licenses and running a few air shows to boot
and also finally collecting enough spare parts, tools and
"costly" support vehicles, not to mention a crew to campaign
a Jet Car.
So far Glenn is self supported but is always on
the hunt for a sponsor to help with the costly budget. This
brings us to what we have to show you, the
Twisted Air Jet Funny Car Team.
